MCFD is hosting a powerful presentation by Ivan Coyote

Please join Ivan Coyote, renowned Canadian spoken word performer, writer and LBGTQ2S advocate. Coyote has received many accolades for their collection of short stories, novels and films, as well as their work in schools and communities around the world telling stories about gender, identity and social justice. Coyote is passionate about the importance of inclusive language and pronouns to promote sensitivity and safety for gender fluid and questioning youth. Coyote loves telling stories and performing in front of live audiences. Their most recent novel, Tomboy Survival Guide (Arsenal Pulp Press, 2016), has won Stonewall Book Award Honor – an award given to outstanding GBLT literature – and has been long-listed for the BC National Award for Non-Fiction in 2017.
