The Caregivers Support Program offers two distinct service components: in-home support, consultation, education, and validation; and in-depth assessments and comprehensive behavioural plans for referred children in care.

Program Features

Our Focus:

  • Assisting foster parents by clarifying expectations set out by the Ministry of Children and Family Development
  • Educating foster parents about trauma, how it impacts children in care and their families, and assisting them in implementing strategies to work with these issues
  • Helping foster parents understand the stages of development from childhood through to adolescence and how they can assist the children/youth in their care to successfully complete the developmental process
  • Supporting foster parents in understanding the relationship process with foster children
